About website Writer and Creator - Nicolle K. -  Melbourne, Australia

Having worked in community law and feeling frustrated with the lack of 'legal literacy' amongst my clients, I wrote Common Sense Law (Preventive Law Tips, to avoid legal strife - publisher - Hybrid Publishers, 2001).

A love for the planet, springing from volunteering for years with Friends of the Earth never faded… which inspired my second book
Green Spin (Or) Promoting the Green Message is a second behaviour change book, about how we are learning to communicate as green messengers using less reasoning, less justification, and linear thinking and more eco-creativity - available on Smashwords, as an ebook.

See Green Spin book page for more information and other publications.

My work-background includes: Melbourne School of Fashion, Jolly People Community Services, volunteering, campaigning and editing work with Sustainable Gardening Australia (Futures Committee), campaigning with Australian Democrats (Secretary of Higgins branch) and researcher/writer with Victoria Uni.  12+ years in public interest law, and outside of that running workshops across Vic. in Elder Abuse Risk Prevention,  and community legal  education.

Completed a Sustainability Diploma at Swinburne (Hawthorn) in 2011 and have volunteered/ campaigned with environmental groups including Environment Defenders office, FOE - Fitzroy (2+ years) and Sustainable Gardening Australia (inc legal and website work, 3 years). I have a somewhat neglected blog (Blooming and Bold blogspot) about how the needs of our gardens and the wider land intersect and now with a particular interest in vertical gardening.  In fact the entire back garden is filled with a glad bag of recycled materials including reused front fencing, bricks found in local area, and even pots and decorations in garden are all sourced from pre-use.   After many years of being a carer, and lockdowns in Australia, I plan to do some more travel, and gain some inspirations from across the globe to keep this site updated with dynamic news on how the green movement is adapting its message.
